There was quite odd stillness, almost spookiness as she walked upon narrow stairs which led to an old town. It wasn't totally deserted, no, there were people moving around, ladies with small dogs, police officers as they ought to be, few passengers, but some strange atmosphere laid upon the streets she walked. It was such unique peace that one doesn't experience every now and than. It was... it was complete lonesomeness, as if she found herself in some unknown, nonexistent place, and no sound, no movement which even did took place was real. Yet, she felt like someone was walkin' her side. At least, she felt like he should. Great difference between the two, yes. Just the one that means loneliness. The lights went silently on, it was 6:15 pm. She passed cafe at the corner, shivered for a short moment.

Then sun sat it's old ass down, people spoke again, laughed, cats calling each other, dogs barking, an old man on the corner picked up his guitar, started to play some sad melody, of course, but it couldn't be as sad as the moment that just passed through her. Moment was gone as imperceptible as it sat down.

The view of the downtown broke in front of her, ugly and sparkling with all the neons that spiked the eyes.

And there was no more reason to stay. Slowly, she walked down to the main train station, got herself a train to take her to the place which she'd like to call home.
